Allergy, Nasal & Sinus

The LIENT Allergy Department provides services involving the diagnosis and treatment of Inhalant allergies - environmental allergies that are inhaled through the nose and throat: including different tree, grass, and weed pollens, molds, pet hair, and dander, dust and dust mites.

As most people are aware, allergies can be annoying and interfere with normal daily activities. Allergies can also cause and lead to chronic sinus problems or infections, chronic runny nose and cough, nasal polyps, asthma and chronic skin conditions such as eczema.

After being evaluated and referred by one of LIENT Physicians, you will have a detailed allergy history taken, and skin testing will be performed. The results of the testing will be explained at this visit, and treatment options will be discussed in detail (including environmental exposure controls, medication use and allergy shots). Immunotherapy (allergy shots) is also a service at LIENT.
